On May 5, 2008, Tropicana Entertainment LLC filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. This filing, which is the next step in an ongoing reorganization process, will enable us to emerge as a better, stronger company.
Importantly, this filing includes only the properties directly owned by Tropicana Entertainment LLC:
- Bayou Caddy's Jubilee Casino — Greenville, Mississippi
- Casino Aztar — Evansville, Indiana
- Horizon Casino Hotel — Vicksburg, Mississippi
- Horizon Casino Resort — Lake Tahoe, Nevada
- MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa — Lake Tahoe, Nevada
- River Palms Resort & Casino — Laughlin, Nevada
- Sheraton Hotel and Belle of Baton Rouge Casino — Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- Tropicana Casino & Resort — Las Vegas, Nevada
- Tropicana Express Hotel & Casino — Laughlin, Nevada
This filing excludes Tropicana Atlantic City Casino and Resort and Lighthouse Point Casino. Properties directly owned by Tropicana Casinos & Resorts, Inc. also are unaffected.
All Tropicana properties will continue normal business operations throughout the reorganization process, delivering lodging, entertainment and gaming services for all of our guests and working with our stakeholders to maximize the value of our assets while restructuring our debt.
